Who we are

Heath Educational Books is the leading specialist school book supplier in the South East of England. We are one of a handful of companies in the UK who only supply books to schools and teachers. Our staff are experienced in providing for the needs of schools and teachers. Our service is comprehensive and efficient, aiming to meet the needs of busy school teachers and librarians. We have developed specialisations in the International Baccalaureate and in Chinese teaching to set alongside our supply of almost any book you care to ask for!

Heath Books is run by Richard Heath and is a friendly family firm, aiming to provide a fast, knowledgeable and efficient service. We pride ourselves on prompt and accurate fulfillment of orders. We have been in business for 17 years as a specialist company and many years prior to that as part of a local bookseller.

What we do

Our aim is:

We deal with all ages from Nursery to College level and provide textbooks, library books and maths and reading schemes. We will order any book in print for you. We aim to eliminate the need for teachers to spend valuable time seeing numerous publishers' reps or dealing with the paperwork involved in ordering from individual publishers.

For customers able to travel to us, our unique Teacher's Showroom contains over 60,000 school textbooks, library books, reading schemes and children's fictions titles. We also offer free Inset Day facilities for those wishing to come as a party with a view to overhauling your book stock in whatever areas you feel it needs attention.

We are happy to advise on appropriate materials for your school/subject and are always pleased to speak to our customers on the phone.

Hours of business

We are open Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm all year round (closed four days at Christmas). We will stay open later by arrangement for visitors to our Showroom and hold a Saturday opening once a term (see front page for details of our next Saturday opening).
