It is now possible to create a user login which will be remembered on your pc (or other machines) if you wish. This way you will be able to create provisional orders or store your own favourites. It is not possible to track your orders, but please telephone us for information on the state of any order.
Book Prices and Availability
Our online database has been set up to enable customers to browse up-to-date details of price and availability of the titles we commonly supply to schools. Details are updated as often as possible and we are endeavouring to display the current price on all books. This is particularly important at the beginning of the year when publishers increase their textbook prices.
Although prices shown should be correct, we cannot guarantee that they will not be changed without notice by the publishers and we will always charge only the prices set by the publishers, less your discount as appropriate.
On-line Ordering
At present, orders placed via our online ordering system will be treated as quotations or orders as specified by you.
Please select the items and quantities you require, add any other requests in the special instructions field, and we will contact you via phone, fax or email (please specify which method you would prefer) to acknowledge your order.
This website is only intended for schools and we are happy to obtain titles from all over the world even if we do not list them currently on our site. We are aware that you can be swamped by excessive numbers of titles if you are browsing and we do not therefore hold all the titles that you may find listed on Amazon and other websites which are patently unsuited to school users.
We have set up this system to enable us to provide you with the best discounts possible. As discounts vary according to publishers and quantities ordered (ie value of order) we prefer to allocate discounts when we receive orders. We believe this is fairer to our customers than "blanket" discounts which may not take account of these factors. In addition, if you are a new customer we may request a confirmation fax on school headed paper in order that we have all your school detials correctly set up on our system.
Minimum Discount
At the moment 10% discount is automatically deducted from your order through our shopping cart. Whilst this is a Minimum Discount that we are able to offer on almost all products, there are a very small number of items to which this does not apply. In particular, titles which we obtain from abroad (excluding the USA) are priced as low as possible and additional discounts can only be given on orders over £250.
This applies in particular to International Baccalaureate and Chinese titles from Australia and other parts of the world. Our prices are by far the lowest in the UK for these titles, as in most cases we are the only UK importers and stockists and the prices are set as low as possible for supplying direct to schools when we convert from dollars etc. Do however bear in mind that exchange rates fluctuate and we do sometimes have to adjust the prices accordingly. If you would like to confirm the exact pricing for these items, please submit your order as a quotation, with any requests, and we will contact you.
Payment
Due to the high cost levied on us by the banks of processing payment by credit or debit cards, we can only accept payment by cheque for teacher's personal orders. We would prefer to pass on discount to our customers rather than incur high bank charges and therefore have to restrict the discounts we can offer.
School orders are payable on account by cheque or BACS.
Delivery Address
Please note that we are only able to deliver to school address in the UK and Mainland Europe. You should put such an address on your order form.
Book Database
As stated above, our database contains titles we hold in our Showroom or have supplied to customers. If you wish to order a title not listed on our database, please enter as much information as you have about each item (particularly the ISBN if you have it) in the Notes box and we will trace the title(s) for you. Some titles do not currently have ISBNs and therefore are not searchable on our website. We can still supply them, however. Please contact us directly if you cannot find what you are looking for on our database.

Account Number
If you are a current Heath Books customer, please fill in the school Account Number where requested, if you know it. This will enable us to process your order more quickly.
