Joey was the last working horse left on the farm, and the apple of Grandpa’s eye – until he was sent away to serve as a warhorse in the First World War, prompting Grandpa to join the cavalry himself in search of him. Fifty years on, Grandpa finally tells his grandson the whole story of Joey, revealing a secret he has kept hidden all this time. Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, Farm Boy remains the extraordinary sequel to War Horse.
