Join the Summer Reading Challenge – A Reading Adventure for Schools!
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is a brilliant initiative from The Reading Agency in partnership with public libraries, designed to keep primary-aged children reading through the summer holidays.
This year’s theme, “Story Garden”, celebrates creativity and imagination. Through reading and fun activities, children are encouraged to explore new ideas and express themselves while building their reading skills and confidence. The Challenge is perfect for children aged 4 – 11 and is free to join at participating libraries.
Schools can get involved by encouraging pupils to sign up, promoting reading for pleasure, and accessing a range of free resources from the School Zone, including posters, assembly plans, and class activities. It’s a great way to keep children reading during the summer break and helps ease the transition into the new school year.
Browse our site to find brilliant books to inspire young readers – whether they’re into stories, facts, adventure, or comics!
Let’s make reading the highlight of the holidays – join the Summer Reading Challenge today!
