Wild Challenge for Schools – Inspire Young Minds with Nature!

Local primary schools are all invited to take part in the Wild Challenge for Schools, a brilliant initiative from the RSPB that brings the natural world right into the classroom – and beyond! Perfect for pupils of all ages, this free award scheme encourages children to connect with wildlife through fun, hands-on learning experiences.

Designed to support the National Curriculum, the Wild Challenge offers a range of activities across two main themes: Helping Nature and Experiencing Nature. From building bug hotels and planting wildflowers to exploring local habitats, every task completed brings schools closer to achieving their Bronze, Silver, or Gold Wild Challenge Award.

Whether you’re an eco-minded teacher or a school looking for new ways to enrich outdoor learning, this is a fantastic way to spark curiosity, support wellbeing, and encourage environmental stewardship in young learners.

Let’s help the next generation explore, protect, and fall in love with the natural world.
