Young Writers Annual Showcase 2025

The Young Writers Annual Showcase is a prestigious, open‐entry event celebrating pupils’ best writing from this academic year (ages 4 – 18). Whether it’s a powerful poem, gripping short story, imaginative essay or flash fiction, this competition is all about spotlighting individual creativity and effort.

How it works:

  1. Teachers download and use the free classroom resources and inspiring theme packs to spark ideas in pupils.
  2. Submit your students’ chosen pieces – each story or poem is carefully read by the Young Writers editorial team.
  3. Selected entries are published in a beautiful annual anthology, and every participating school receives a free copy of the book.
  4. Watch confidence, engagement, and pride soar as pupils see their work in print and celebrated by the wider school community.

Why enter?

  • Boosts pupils’ literacy, creativity, and motivation
  • Provides a real sense of achievement through publication
  • Offers a tangible reward for whole‑school participation

Entries are welcomed from across the UK. Don’t miss this chance to champion your pupils as real authors. For further information, please visit:
