On the Calendar for Schools: Polka Theatre’s The Nutcracker

Polka Theatre’s season of The Nutcracker runs between November 16th 2024 and January 26th 2025…

Polka Theatre is dedicated to helping children see the magic of stories come alive on stage and their version of The Nutcracker is sure to captivate audiences this Christmas.

Based on the famous ballet, and produced by Polka and Little Bulb, this version of The Nutcracker invites children into the story of Clara and Fritz, a magical nutcracker toy, a mouse king and the kind of unbelievable adventure you really want to believe in!

Polka Theatre is a children’s theatre meaning school groups are not only welcome but encouraged!

All areas of Polka are wheelchair accessible, and there is a relaxed schools show on December 6th.  Additionally there are Audio-Described, captioned and BSL-Interpreted shows running for families who might like to attend over a weekend.

The Nutcracker is listed as suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years and you can find details here on the costs and logistics of seeing it at Polka with your class.

If your class might like to see a show at Polka but The Nutcracker is not the right fit – you can find the full selection of what’s showing during the 2024/2025 school year here.

As part of our collaboration with Polka Theatre schools can buy sets of The Nutcracker with special discounts for schools during the season run.
