July brings the end of term and a few additions to the book awards calendar – don’t worry though we’ve gathered them all for you so you don’t need to spend precious time seeking them out yourself!

Take a look below for news from The Branford Boase Award, The Little Rebels Award, The Lollies and The Diverse Book Award.

The Brandford Boase Award

The Branford Boase, a prize for both author and editor of a debut title, was won by Carnegie winner Glasgow Boys.

Author Margaret McDonald and her editors Alice Swan and Ama Badu collected their prize at an event in London in early July.  Margaret said of her creative process with her editors “I worked on every single aspect of Glasgow Boys with Alice and Ama, and it wouldn’t exist as it does today without them, truly.”

The Henrietta Branford Writing Competition winners were announced at the same event. You can read the 6 winning pieces here.

Shortlists & Longlists Announced
