IB Economics Work Book (tried & tested) Standard & Higher Level
For the student this workbook provides an opportunity to put in practice material covered in class by the teacher. It is meant to be a proactive tool to help consolidate detailed knowledge of the IB economics course and can help in preparation for class tests as well as the final IB exam. Students are encouraged to write in the margins, add notes and doodle to customise the workbook. The class of 2016 at the International School of Geneva have worked through the exercises and have helped to refine the material. Daria Akoulova has kindly donated her art work.
For the economics teacher this workbook provides a way of ensuring students have adequate knowledge, analysis and evaluation skills to approach IB questions. The workbook can be used in class, at home and as revision material for exams. The workbook can act as a record of student progress in class and at home. Each chapter is designed to develop knowledge, analysis and evaluation skills. It is important to note that the aim of this workbook was not to address specifically any single IB paper but rather to fully develop the necessary skills required in IB economics. The questions set, vary in difficulty and cater to the needs of students of all abilities. Asterisks are used to point out challenging questions. The evaluation questions are meant to prepare the students for essay writing. Questions for higher students only are marked by V. All the other non-marked questions are part of the core syllabus. An answer book to help the teacher is also available for purchase.
For parents this workbook is aimed to close the gap between what is being taught in class and the work being done by the student.
