Angela Murray went to Guatemala after completing her degree. What she discovered changed her life. She went to give, but stayed to receive. “I don’t think anything can truly prepare you for the experience of working with street children,” she explains. “It is so easy to think of ‘street children’ as one big group. Once you start working with them, they become individuals. A picture doesn’t tell you what it smells like at the rubbish dump in Zone 3 of Guatemala City; a place that was home to young Oscar and many others.
